I design websites as part of Grange Website Design.  I am based in Cork and I specialise in small business websites and making the complicated as simple as possible.  This blog helps to get rid of myths about website design and warn people about the false promises that people can make about what a website can do for you.

I have been writing web pages (thats what we called it before someone thought up the word design) for over 15 years and more.  I can write HTML nearly as fast as I can write text (it may not be perfectly formed but it will render on a web page).

Even though I have worked for Microsoft I am a fan of free Open Source software.  I am in the web design business (and this is a recurring theme in all my conversations and blogs) because I think that more and more Irish businesses need to be online and Internet savvy and not just the big ones.

Away from the PC I talk about running and do not do enough of it, I taxi drive my kids from event to event and I coach basketball despite the fact that 90% of my lay-ups never go in to the hysterical laughter of the kids I coach.
