Website Design Tools

There are many tools available to website designers today to create websites quickly and efficiently.  But I do not use many of them.  The most important tool is the ability to understand what the customer needs and put their requirements clearly on to the site.  Often this can be done over e-mail or through a couple of documents and then working the content over a period of a few iterations.

However if you want to know my usual tools they are as outlined below.

  • Notepad ++ – nice simple editor for writing HTML
  • Photoshop – for editing images
  • CS4 for Flash (I do not use Flash too much on sites)
  • Filezilla for transferring files to the server

And that’s it no other fancy tools the rest is hard work and time.
