Register .ie Domains

Today I am going to talk about probably one of the top ten questions that I get.  It is when people ask for a failry simple site to get them started.  I agree wholeheartedly with this approach as the important thing is to get on the ladder to allow them get the website up.  However to register a .ie domain requires some basic information to allow me to request the domain name for them.

  • First is the actual business name and then either
  • a registered business number and/or a VAT number.

Not all businesses have a VAT number and many dod not have an RBN but you need this to lay claim to the domain name.  It is an easy process and you need to go to the Companies Registration Office at CORE where they can fill in the form online for a 20 Euro payment.

When you fill out the form they post you out a form that you sign include payment and return ‘ you receive your RBN within a few working days.

I recommend Blacknight as they offer good prices and excellent service.
