Once you call us we go through a very simple process that allows both of us deliver a site that meets your budget and makes both sides of the process happy.
Design
It is important that your design is distinctive from the other sites that are out there. You could have course go with a very simple site using a standard theme and that would have course save costs in the short term but in the long term you wont stand out from others. We did a distinctive design like this for Zwena McCullough. Before we raced into producing a site we went back and forward with here a few times fine tuning what she needed in terms of logo and colours. unusually Zwena didn’t want any images on the front page but we worked around that and ended up with a design that we ultimately implemented in WordPress for her. Then we worked out what content she wanted on the front page and ended up this website
Domain Name Registration
If you do not have a domain name you need to register one for your site. A domain name is like www.example.com.
You need to claim ownership of this domain and this is called registration. You pay a fee for this registration and
this fee is payable yearly. If you wish you can choose to register it for longer periods to remove having
to pay this every year.
Having a domain name registered does not mean you have a website. You then need somewhere to store all the parts of
your website. This is called hosting.
Hosting
Once you have registered your domain you need storage for the files and graphics for your website. This is called
hosting and is the online storage and software for your website. Without this hosting you will not
be able to have a site. Again there is a cost for this and it is a yearly fee. If you do not pay the fee
you lose the domain name and the hosting and someone else is allowed to claim the domain
E-Mail Addresses
You may only want a website to have a holding page and an email address.
You can just choose to do this and later add to the site and make it a complete design.
Your website can have unlimited secure email addresses on our hosted offering. If all you need is
hosted email then we can help with providing this to you for a low price,.
Marketing Your Website
A website is not just attractive images and well chosen text. Its design should be such that it helps grow your business and improve your customers experience.
Your site needs to send the correct marketing message and get the desired response from the prospective customers who visit your site. Is the desired response an e-mail, a click to another link, a purchase, or a phone call? Maybe you only want to share information. Can this information be easily found?
