Tattoo Your Chest for Website Design

tongue-tattoo I am going to get a tattoo on my chest that I will flash to the next person who says to me “I must get a website some time I’ve been meaning to do it for ages”.  It will say

I Don’t Believe You

You may ask why I would do such a silly thing. Well first reason is that I went for a nice walk with my wife this afternoon and met an old acquaintance along the way and we had a short catch up chat.  He knew what I did and verbatim quoted the above phrase.  In all cases (in the absence of the tattoo) I just mumble something incomprehensible and move onto the recent sports game as I know he will never be in touch.

There is no earthly reason why someone cannot not get online today. You need a hosting package, a domain name and to get started a holding page with name, and contact details  However here are some the excuses I hear.

Its Costs Too Much

Cost cant possibly be a reason.  You can get a .com domain name for 6 Euro and hosting for 9 Euro a month with Blacknight for instance.  So lets do the sums people.  That’s 15 Euro for the first month and 9 Euro a month from then on,  If you smoke you spent that much on the weekend.

I Can’t Afford to Get A Website Designed

Then don’t bother.  See that told you.  There are plenty of free templates (CSS and WordPress) that can get you started.  These will cost you (hold let me check the total so far) Oh yes €0. here is a nice one from freecsstemplates.org

Its smart enough and has the CSS done for you.  The image makes the difference of course.  It wont win any design awards but I liked it when I saw it so it is a start and of course FREE.  Before you start hammering out a comment about proper HTML and W3C please don’t.  I know that a lot of these free templates are not perfect formed HTML but the look OK and with some tweaking can actually look pretty respectable. 

But I Can’t Design a Website

Ok so you know nothing about designing a website or what goes with it.  Here is where I come in with the hard sell.  Give me a call and I will give you a multi tiered quote from as little as 100 Euro for what you could end up with. 

Oh yes I am not going to get the Tattoo as I would get very cold flashing the sign as I hear that phrase 3-4 times per week.
