Website hosting and support, run from Cork.

We host the sites we build, and plenty we did not. Weekly updates, backups that have actually been restored, and someone in Cork who picks up the phone when a site goes down.

01 / What you are paying for

Hosting is the boring half of keeping a site up

Anyone will sell you server space for a few euro a month. What you are actually buying is what happens on the Tuesday the site goes down, or when an update breaks a checkout at eleven at night. That is the part we sell.

Speed

Servers tuned for WordPress and WooCommerce with caching and a CDN in front. Most sites we take on get measurably faster the week they move.

Backups and restores

Weekly site clones and monthly backups kept off the server. We test the restores, because a backup nobody has ever restored is a rumour.

Security

Weekly malware scans, uptime monitoring, SSL on every plan and a staging copy, so changes are tried somewhere other than your live site.

People who build sites

The person who answers is a developer who works on WordPress every day, not a first line agent reading a script in another time zone.
02 / Plans

Three plans

The difference between them is support, not server space. If you are on the wrong one we will say so rather than let it run.

03 / Moving in

Moving an existing site to us

Most sites we take on are already live somewhere else, usually somewhere the owner has run out of patience with. The move takes an afternoon, and nothing touches your live site until the copy works.
We switch in the morning, not on a Friday evening, so if anything needs fixing we are all still at our desks.
01

Copy and stage

A full copy runs on a staging URL while your current site stays live.
02

Test

Forms, checkout, email, redirects and page speed all checked on the copy.
03

Switch DNS

The switch happens in the morning. Most sites move without downtime anyone notices.
04

Watch

Two weeks of monitoring on uptime, errors and search performance.
04 / The hours

What support hours cover

Support covers the work that keeps a live site healthy: fixes, updates, content changes and the small jobs that pile up. A new staff photo, a price change, a form that has quietly stopped emailing.
Bigger pieces of work are quoted separately: a new page template, a redesign, an ecommerce build. We would rather be clear about that now than have the conversation in month three.

Typical month on a support plan

Plugin, theme and WordPress core updates, tested on staging
Content changes: prices, staff, opening hours, new pages
Broken forms, payment errors and anything that stops working
A look at speed, uptime and errors before you notice them
05 / Questions

Questions we get asked

Do you host sites you did not build?

Yes, as long as the site is in reasonable health. If it arrives hacked or years out of date we will quote the cleanup separately rather than pretend it is a hosting job.

Who owns the domain?

You do. Domains are registered in your name. If you ever leave, the domain goes with you and we will not make that awkward.

What happens if my site is hacked?

On a plan with weekly cloning we restore from a clean copy, then find out how it got in. WordPress hacks are almost always an out of date plugin, which is the reason for weekly updates.

What counts as a support hour?

Anything we do on your site that month: changes, fixes, updates and advice by email. It is logged, and you can ask at any point what the hours went on.

Can I leave?

Yes. You get a full copy of the site and its database, and we will help your new host get it running. [Add your notice period here.]

Where are the servers?

[Server location and provider go here. Worth naming, because Irish and EU hosting is a real question for anyone handling customer data.]
