Checks, updates and backups
Looking after Irish websites
We check your site at least once a week. We keep the behind-the-scenes bits up to date, the spam out of your forms, and an automatic backup running so nothing is ever really lost.
In WordPress terms that means core updates, plugin and theme updates, a PHP version that’s still supported, a login that isn’t wide open to brute force attempts, and a database that hasn’t quietly filled up with junk revisions over five years. If an update is going to break something, we find out on a copy of the site rather than on the live one.
Quiet, boring, important work. You won’t notice it. That’s the point.
Every job starts with the same short call. We look at what’s there, what it’s meant to be doing, and whether Wix is still the right home for it. Sometimes the honest answer is that you’d be better off elsewhere, and we’ll tell you that before you’ve paid us anything.
Assuming Wix stays, the work usually covers four things. Design, meaning a proper layout system, a type scale, a colour palette that came from your brand rather than a template’s default. Structure, so there’s one page per thing you sell, in the language your customers use, instead of one long home page trying to cover everything. Copy, written for people first, with the search terms sitting naturally inside sentences. Speed and technical setup, with images sized correctly, headings in order, page titles and descriptions written by hand, Google Search Console and Analytics connected and actually read.
We build in your Wix account, not ours. You keep the login, the domain and the billing. If you ever want to move on from us, everything goes with you. We think that’s how it should work.
Same plain idea, more or less of us. Pick the one that fits and leave whenever you like.

Backups run automatically and are kept away from the site itself, so a server problem doesn’t take the copies with it. That’s the part people usually discover they don’t have on the worst possible morning.
If a site does go down, you ring us and we start work. No ticket number, no first response target measured in business days. We’ll tell you what happened afterwards in plain English, and what we changed so it doesn’t happen again.
Mostly small and medium Irish businesses with a WordPress site they rely on and nobody in-house to mind it. Professional practices, trades, clinics, shops, membership bodies. Some built their site with us, plenty didn’t. We’re happy to take on a site we’ve never seen, once we’ve had a look at the state of it first.
We’re in Cork and most of our clients aren’t, so distance makes no difference to how the work runs. If your site sits on Shopify or Wix instead, say so and we’ll tell you honestly whether a support plan is worth it, because on some platforms there’s far less to maintain.
No. It’s month to month. Stop whenever you like and nothing is held hostage.
Not by default. Maintenance and hosting are separate, though plenty of clients take both and it does make life simpler when one team owns the whole stack.
Yes, that’s the main difference between the plans. The larger ones set aside real time each month for search work rather than just keeping the lights on.
Send us the address of your site and we’ll take a look before you commit to anything. If you don’t need a plan, we’ll say that too.
