What a 20-Page Website Really Costs in Ireland
You’re probably asking this because someone’s just thrown a number at you and it didn’t sit right. Fair. For an Irish business, a proper 20-page website usually lands somewhere between €2,500 and €8,000. That’s the real range. Anything outside it deserves a few follow-up questions.
If you’re seeing quotes around €2,500 to €3,500, you’re usually dealing with a no-frills build. WordPress, a reused layout, minimal tweaking. You’ll likely be writing most of the content yourself or fixing it after. It’ll look fine on the surface, like a new estate house where every room feels a bit the same. It does the job, but you won’t be telling anyone about it down the pub.
Where Value Actually Starts
Once you move into the €4,000 to €6,000 bracket, things change. The pages don’t all feel copied and pasted. Someone has actually thought about how Irish customers skim, stall, and then finally decide. You get fewer emails asking you to “just confirm this quickly”. The wording sounds more like how you speak, not how a brochure speaks. This is where most solid Irish SMEs should be aiming if the website matters at all.
Cheap, Expensive, and Everything in Between
When the price creeps past €6,500, you’re paying for complexity or overhead. Sometimes that’s fair. Booking systems, custom layouts, tricky services, or a business that needs explaining properly. Other times, you’re covering fancy offices and long meetings that could’ve been an email. You’re allowed to ask which one it is.
The page count can be misleading too. Twenty short service pages for a trades business in Kildare are not the same effort as twenty detailed pages for a regulated service or something technical. If someone prices purely by page, be wary. It’s a lazy way to quote.
And yes, you’ll see offers for €1,200 or €1,500. They exist. They’re usually rushed, silent once paid, and painful to fix later. You don’t realise how bad it is until you need to change something simple and can’t.
So if you’re budgeting, think in real terms. A 20-page website is work. Real work. If it’s meant to represent your business properly and not quietly annoy you every time you open it, a few grand is normal in Ireland. If someone tells you otherwise, they’re either new, desperate, or not planning to stick around.
