Yes, the SEO basics in Squarespace are solid. You get editable page titles and URLs, automatic sitemaps, security certificates and mobile-friendly templates without any setup. What it will not do is decide what your pages should be about, which is where our Squarespace SEO in Ireland work comes in, ideally planned from the start of a Squarespace website design project.
What Squarespace does well
The templates are clean and fast enough, and the settings most sites need are all there. For a small business site, the platform will not hold you back.
Where Squarespace sites fall down
One page trying to cover every service. Pages built to fill a template rather than to answer what customers search for. Google Search Console never connected, and a Google Business Profile that does not match the site. These are structure problems, and they are the same on any platform.
The limits
Squarespace gives you fewer advanced controls than WordPress, so very technical SEO work is harder. For most Irish small businesses that is not where rankings are won or lost.
