Neither has a real edge. Both can rank well, and both hold sites back in the same way when the structure is weak and the pages are thin. If you are choosing between them, look at our Squarespace website design and Wix website design pages, and pick the platform you will be happiest editing, because a site that gets updated tends to do better.
Where Wix gives you more control
Wix has more advanced settings, including editing your robots.txt file and adding custom structured data. That helps if someone is doing detailed technical work on the site, which our Wix SEO services include.
Where Squarespace is simpler
Squarespace has fewer settings, which means fewer things to get wrong. Its templates are clean, and the basics like sitemaps and editable titles are handled well. Our Squarespace SEO in Ireland work focuses on structure and content rather than settings.
What matters more than the platform
A page for each service, headings that describe what is underneath them, links between related pages and a Google Business Profile that matches the site. Get those right and either platform will rank.
